Semana Santa or Holy Week is one of the most important religious celebrations in Colombia. This week-long event commemorates the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Semana Santa begins on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday, which falls on different dates every year. In 2023, Semana Santa will begin on April 9th and end on April 16th.
